Always on the 8th of March, numerous events are held around the globe to inspire women and celebrate their achievements. Origin of the International Women's Day
The International Women's Day was founded officially in Copenhagen in 1910, with the demand for active and passive voting rights for women. In Austria, this claim was fulfilled in 1918, when the general right to vote was released. Still today, women fight for implementation of equality within the society, politic and their professional life. But also topics, such as violence against women, are raised on that day.p>
